No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him. Hebrews 11:6 GNB

Yet we know that a person is put right with God only through faith in Jesus Christ, never by doing what the Law requires. We, too, have believed in Christ Jesus in order to be put right with God through our faith in Christ, and not by doing what the Law requires. For no one is put right with God by doing what the Law requires. Galatians 2:16 GNB

That is why Abraham, through faith, “was accepted as righteous by God”. Romans 4:22 GNB

You should realize then, that the real descendants of Abraham are the people who have faith. Galatians 3:7 GNB

And I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love. Ephesians 3:17 GNB

For the gospel reveals how God puts people right with himself: it is through faith from beginning to end. As the scripture says, “The person who is put right with God through faith shall live. Romans 1:17 GNB

Now, it is clear that no one is put right with God by means of the Law, because the scripture says, “Only the person who is put right with God through faith shall live. Galatians 3:11 GNB

By faith he lived as a foreigner in the country that God had promised him. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who received the same promise from God. Hebrews 11:9 GNB

It was faith that made Abraham able to become a father, even though he was too old and Sarah herself could not have children. He trusted God to keep his promise. Hebrews 11:11 GNB

Our Capacity Through Faith

The Lord answered, “If you had faith as big as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Pull yourself up by the roots and plant yourself in the sea!’ and it would obey you. Luke 17:6 GNB

“Yes,” said Jesus, “if you yourself can! Everything is possible for the person who has faith.” Mark 9:23 GNB

True Belief Seeks Wisdom

For this very reason do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge. 2 Peter 1:5 GNB

Timothy, keep safe what has been entrusted to your care. Avoid the profane talk and foolish arguments of what some people wrongly call “knowledge”. For some have claimed to possess it, and as a result they have lost the way of faith. God’s grace be with you all. 1 Timothy 6:20-21 GNB

So that it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. This life that I live now, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave his life for me. Galatians 2:20 GNB

Run your best in the race of faith, and win eternal life for yourself; for it was to this life that God called you when you firmly professed your faith before many witnesses. 1 Timothy 6:12 GNB

Our Belief Brings Humility

They knew only what others were saying: “The man who used to persecute us is now preaching the faith that he once tried to destroy! Galatians 1:23 GNB

Faith Without Actions Is Dead

So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead. James 2:17 GNB

My brothers and sisters, what good is it for people to say that they have faith if their actions do not prove it? Can that faith save them? James 2:14 GNB

But someone will say, “One person has faith, another has actions.” My answer is, “Show me how anyone can have faith without actions. I will show you my faith by my actions. James 2:18 GNB

How was our ancestor Abraham put right with God? It was through his actions, when he offered his son Isaac on the altar. Can’t you see? His faith and his actions worked together; his faith was made perfect through his actions.” James 2:21-22 GNB

You see, then, that it is by people’s actions that they are put right with God, and not by their faith alone. James 2:24 GNB

So then, as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without actions is dead. James 2:26 GNB

Avoid the passions of youth, and strive for righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who with a pure heart call out to the Lord for help. 2 Timothy 2:22 GNB

How To Put Your Faith Into Action

So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us. If our gift is to speak God’s message, we should do it according to the faith that we have. Romans 12:6 GNB

They strengthened the believers and encouraged them to remain true to the faith. “We must pass through many troubles to enter the Kingdom of God,” they taught.  Acts 14:22 GNB

So then, my brothers and sisters, try even harder to make God’s call and his choice of you a permanent experience; if you do so, you will never abandon your faith.” 2 Peter 1:10 GNB

We who are strong in the faith ought to help the weak to carry their burdens. We should not please ourselves. Romans 15:1 GNB

Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need clothes and don’t have enough to eat. What good is there in your saying to them, “God bless you! Keep warm and eat well!” if you don’t give them the necessities of life? So it is with faith: if it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead. James 2:15-17 GNB

So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith. Galatians 6:10 GNB

But if anyone does not take care of his relatives, especially the members of his own family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8 GNB

Remember your former leaders, who spoke God’s message to you. Think back on how they lived and died, and imitate their faith. Hebrews 13:7 GNB

The Impact of Active Faith to Others

I remember the sincere faith you have, the kind of faith that your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice also had. I am sure that you have it also. 2 Timothy 1:5 GNB

“So, in all our trouble and suffering we have been encouraged about you, brothers and sisters. It was your faith that encouraged us,” 1 Thessalonians 3:7 GNB

Among the weak in faith I become weak like one of them, in order to win them. So I become all things to all people, that I may save some of them by whatever means are possible.” 1 Corinthians 9:22 GNB

“I am sure of this, and so I know that I will stay. I will stay on with you all, to add to your progress and joy in the faith,” Philippians 1:25 GNB

We are not trying to dictate to you what you must believe; we know that you stand firm in the faith. Instead, we are working with you for your own happiness. 2 Corinthians 1:24 GNB

Instead, we should all please our brothers and sisters for their own good, in order to build them up in the faith. Romans 15:2 GNB

What I mean is that both you and I will be helped at the same time, you by my faith and I by yours. Romans 1:12 GNB

The Impact of Dead Faith to Others

“If anyone should cause one of these little ones to lose his faith in me, it would be better for that person to have a large millstone tied round his neck and be drowned in the deep sea.” Matthew 18:6 GNB

How terrible for the world that there are things that make people lose their faith! Such things will always happen — but how terrible for the one who causes them!  Matthew 18:7 GNB

I urge you, my brothers and sisters: watch out for those who cause divisions and upset people’s faith and go against the teaching which you have received. Keep away from them! Romans 16:17 GNB

They have left the way of truth and are upsetting the faith of some believers by saying that our resurrection has already taken place. 2 Timothy 2:18 GNB

But they were opposed by the magician Elymas (that is his name in Greek), who tried to turn the governor away from the faith. Acts 13:8 GNB

True Belief Endures Forever

Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right-hand side of God’s throne. Hebrews 12:2 GNB

Trust in the LORD. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the LORD. Psalms 27:14 GNB

He was then almost 100 years old; but his faith did not weaken when he thought of his body, which was already practically dead, or of the fact that Sarah could not have children. Romans 4:19 GNB

For you know that when your faith succeeds in facing such trials, the result is the ability to endure. James 1:3 GNB

Their purpose is to prove that your faith is genuine. Even gold, which can be destroyed, is tested by fire; and so your faith, which is much more precious than gold, must also be tested, so that it may endure. Then you will receive praise and glory and honour on the Day when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:7 GNB

Many will give up their faith at that time; they will betray one another and hate one another. Matthew 24:10 GNB

I have told you this, so that you will not give up your faith. John 16:1 GNB

“But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith will not fail. And when you turn back to me, you must strengthen your brothers.” Luke 22:32 GNB

For how can those who abandon their faith be brought back to repent again? They were once in God’s light; they tasted heaven’s gift and received their share of the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 6:4 GNB

And then they abandoned their faith! It is impossible to bring them back to repent again, because they are again crucifying the Son of God and exposing him to public shame. Hebrews 6:6 GNB

We are not people who turn back and are lost. Instead, we have faith and are saved. Hebrews 10:39 GNB

Israel is no stronger than Samaria, its capital city, and Samaria is no stronger than King Pekah. “If your faith is not enduring, you will not endure.” Isaiah 7:9 GNB

This, now, is what the Sovereign LORD says: “I am placing in Zion a foundation that is firm and strong. In it I am putting a solid cornerstone on which are written the words, ‘Faith that is firm is also patient.” Isaiah 28:16 GNB

Instruct the older men to be sober, sensible, and self-controlled; to be sound in their faith, love, and endurance. Titus 2:2 GNB

If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched. Mark 9:43 NKJV

Believe In The Works of God

“Do not believe me, then, if I am not doing the things my father wants me to do. But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, you should at least believe my deeds, in order that you may know once and for all that the father is in me and that I am in the father.” John 10:37-38 GNB

Thus Israel saw the great work which the LORD had done in Egypt; so the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD and His servant Moses. Exodus 14:31 NKJV
